2026 Junk It General Rules
1. These rules apply to every class. Read all rules carefully and follow them!

2. You must pass inspection within 2 times or you will not run.
3. A 12“ x 12“ roof sign is mandatory.
4. Vehicles must be stock, unless modifications are stated in the rules.
5. A helmet, seat belt, and eye protection must be worn at all times while on the track.
6. If the driver gets out of his or her car for any reason other than an emergency, that driver is considered out, and will not be allowed back in.
7. Any controversies or protests must be brought up during the driver's meeting.
8. All airbags, glass, plastic, bumper covers, rear speakers, wheel weights, and interior must be removed before arriving to the event.
9. Any aftermarket parts must be approved by Junk It. You must text and submit pictures for approval. Parts that are not preapproved before show will not be allowed.
10. No painting of the frames, inside of the car, underneath of the car, or inside of the trunk. If you do the car will not even be inspected. No refunds!!!!
11. Any patching or rust repair will only be allowed if preapproved in a text with pictures.
12. Official's decisions are final.
13. You have 1 minute to make an aggressive hit. After 1 minute that car is disqualified. Don't argue or ignore the officials to try to have more time. Once your time is up, the call goes over the radio to write you down as out, even if you still have a stick. Officials may reward more time to a person putting on a show and making big hits.
14. You are allowed 2 fires. The second time your vehicle catches fire will result in a disqualification.
15. No sandbagging, teaming, or holding. We will stop the show and break your stick
Junk It Minis/ Youth Minis 2026 Youth Age 10-17
(must be 17 on January 1st to run youth for remainder of 2026)
DO NOT READ ANYTHING INTO THESE RULES, JUST READ THE RULES!! If it doesn't say you can, YOU CAN'T!
BUILD
1. Any FWD uni-body vehicle. NO CONVERTIBLES, vans, 4x4, limo’s, or full frame cars. NO v8 cars.
2. All factory body mount bolts must remain factory.
3. The hood Must have a 12 inch hole for fires and can be held down in 6 places, 1/2 inch bolts max sheet metal to sheet metal only. If using wire, you may use 2 strands per spot. If bolting hood shut, you may use 2”x2”x1/4”x 4” max angle iron and up to 1.2" bolt to hold them together. The angle iron cannot be welded over the hood seam, one on the hood, one on the fender and bolt them together. Hoods must be open for inspection. Hoods must have a 12"x12" (Min.) hole cut in center.
4. Doors may be welded shut (wagon tail gates as well), (12) spots per door (3x3x1/4) Plates must have a 3 inch gap between plates. Door strapping material cannot exceed 3" x 5" x 1/4" thick. Driver's front door only may be skinned or plated and welded solid, but not to exceed more than 3 inches max past any factory door seam.
5. Trunk lid Must have a 10 inch hole for inspection, MUST remain in factory location or can be removed. Trunk lid can be shortened or tucked but cannot be folded or doubled. Trunk can be secured in 3” on 3” off or 5” on 5” off manner 3”x3”x1/4” max size plates, 1 inch banding, 9 wire, bolting or chaining (3/8” max). If using the 3”x3”x1/4” plates, the plates CANNOT touch. If you shorten your trunk lid or tuck your trunk lid you CANNOT attach it to the floor in any way. MAY ONLY attach to the quarters and speaker deck
6. Front Windshield area must have wire or 3 inch wide strap from roof to fire wall. No more than 6 inches back on the roof and 6 inches on top of the fire wall.
7. No window bar in the rear allowed.
8. No seam welding will be permitted on the body. Repairing sheet metal is limited to where the battery box and gas tank are and the driver’s area of the floorboards of the car. Must be approved with pictures.
9. Must have a roof sign, it can not be used to tie the cage into the body. It is to identify your car nothing more.
10. Radiator guards are allowed, nothing thicker then 1/8. You can either use 6-3/8 bolts or 6- 1 inch welds to mount guard. This guard can not be mounted to the front bumper, Guards can only be 3 inches wider then the factory core support opening.
11. All cars get 4 spots of 9 wire 2 loops max wherever you like, no attachment points (chain link, bolts, washers, ect) can only wrap around.
12. Rear wheel wells can be bolted together with up to (6) 3/8’s bolts with factory store bought 3/8”s washers.
13. Body creasing will be permitted BUT limited to the rear quarter panels ONLY. MAX 2 lines per quarter panel.
CAGE
Cage is RECOMMENDED for your safety, a 4-point may be placed in the driver’s
compartment.
Cage bars are not to exceed 4”x4”x1/4” or 2”x6”x1/4” in size (Anything
larger will be cut down to correct size).
4-point cage consists of:
* 1 dash bar
* 1 seat bar
* 2 door bars
1. You are allowed four 6”x6”x1/4” mounting plates to attach the cage to the body
(A pillars and B pillars ONLY).
2. Cage must be a minimum of 5” inches away from ALL SHEET METAL .
3. Door bars
CANNOT go past the rear kick panel on any car.
4. At a minimum a rear seat bar is MANDATORY and if the dash is removed a dash bar is
MANDATORY. Seat bar MUST attach to the B post. It CANNOT attach to the inner door
skins
5. Rollover bar is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Must attach to the seat bar or door bars (NOT
BOTH) and consist of 2 bars that run straight up and a cross bar to attach them together.
(NO angled rollover bars will be allowed or kickers off of rollover bar.)
6. Rollover bar maybe attached to roof in 2 spots with ½ inch bolts max , these bolts cannot be
more than 6 inches away from rollover bar 2”x2” tubing or less.
7. (1) Front window bar is MANDATORY. Must consist of tubing, pipe, flat bar. 2-inch max
in size. No chain, 9 wire, bed frame or etc. will be permitted. (This is for driver’s safety.) Front window bar may be bolted or welded to the sheet metal. Can attach on the
roof and on the cowl. It must be within 6 inches of the window opening.
8. A rear window bar is NOT PERMITTED.
9. Gas tank protector CANNOT be any wider than 32” inches outside to outside.
Gas tank protector can go all the way back to where the package tray area and rear
seat meet No Further It CANNOT go past the package tray hump in any car. It can have
a backing to it but no higher than the factory speaker deck height. Tank protector gusset
bars must come from the backseat bar or halo bar only, 1 bar per side only, this bar must
go straight to the gas tank protector only. BACKING MUST RUN STRAIGHT UP AND
CANNOT BE ANGLED TOWARD THE SPEAKER DECK. Speaker deck MUST REMAIN
in factory location. REMEMBER THIS IS NOT TO STRENGTHEN YOUR CAR IN ANY
WAY.
11. No down bars or kickers of any kind allowed.
SUSPENSION and STEERING
All suspension and steering must remain stock (unless stated in rules).
1. Aftermarket steering knuckle may be used at the rack. You can have a aftermarket column.
2. Tie rods must remain stock and factory.
3. Struts, springs, spindles and sway bars must remain factory OEM parts for your make and model.
4. You may use store bought knuckle busters or spring spacers to gain height in the front end. Bolt on strut spacers is allowed. The front must bounce.
5. If you wish you can jack the car up and tack weld the struts to gain height in the rear only.
5. Rear control arms must remain stock factory. No aftermarket control arms or conversions allowed.
DRIVETRAIN
1. You must run factory drivetrain. You may convert fuel injection to carb. You may use solid motor mounts but they must bolt to the motor and bolt to the cradle. No protectors at all can be used. You may add a total of 3 pieces of 2"x 2"x 1/4 angle iron to the motor and straight down to the frame. Do not try and slant these braces so you can weld more on the frame. Straight up and down or you will cut them off, this is to help motor mounts, not make the car stronger.
2. Run any tire / rim combo you wish.
3. Aftermarket shifters, gas pedals, and headers are allowed.
4. No Transmission or oil coolers allowed
5. Upper motor mounts can be changed out with 2”x2” tubing MAX.
6 Lower motor mounts MUST BE factory rubber mounts only.
FRAMES
1. Absolutely no painting or spraying any material on frames or welds. Cars will not be inspected!
2. No shaping or hammering of the frame. You may crease, notch, or dimple the rear.
3. The front may be shortened to the front edge of the factory core support mount. Do not cut back pass the front of the core support. The core support can not be welded to the bumper.
4. All trailer hitches and braces must be removed.
5. You cannot tilt the frame. If we think your frame has been tilted you will not run.
6. Shortening of the rear frame, body, and unibody is not allowed in any way.
7. No frame welding other than what is stated in the rules.
8. All cars (Fresh or Pre ran) can have (4) 4”x4”x1/4” fix plates they can be parallelogram. Fix it plates MUST have a 1” gap including welds. There must be a 1-inch gap between the (4”x6”x1/4”) bumper plate and the 4”x4”x1/4” fix it plate. This includes the weld also. These Plates can connect the body to the sub if you wish.9. Parallelograms are permitted but must be 4” top to bottom and side to side with the two furthest points exactly 7” apart.
10. Cars can be re-stubbed and clipped if need be. All repairs must be butt welded with no overlap and DONE in factory way. PLEASE CALL.
11. Do not seam weld unibody or sub frame, if hot spots are found you will not run.
Bumpers
1. Run any factory car bumper you wish, Except Chrysler Pointys! Bumpers may be seam welded. Must have a 2inch hole in the end so they can be inspected, You must run factory back bumper.
2. Tubing bumper permitted. 1 piece of tubing only, Bumper can consist of 1 piece of 4”x4”x1/4” or smaller tubing or 2”x6”x1/4” or smaller tubing. NO METAL ADDED. MAX THICKNESS on tubing bumpers is ¼” of an inch or less. Anything found to be heavier WILL NOT be allowed to run. Tubing bumpers must remain flat. You cannot cut and form your bumper into a point. We also would like the ends to be angled back for safety reasons
3. You can use ONE 4”x6”x1/4” Rectangle plate per frame rail to help hold your bumper on (measured from back side of the bumper). One plate per side. Plate CANNOT be altered in anyway. Your 4”x6”x1/4” plate MUST attach to your bumper. If it does not attach to your bumper, you will have to remove anything that’s more than what is permitted. You Cannot wrap this plate around frame or attach to sub frame.
4. You can hardnose the bumper to the frame rail. You are permitted to use a 6”x6”x1/4”
max plate to mount your bumper. This is to give you a flat surface to mount your bumper to. This plate must be between your bumper and frame rail on the end cap of the rail only
not the side. You Cannot wrap this plate around frame or attach to sub frame.
5. Bumpers may be narrowed, but no sharp ends allowed.
6. You must have two spots of 3/8 chain or 9 wire going from the bumper to the core support, this is to hold your bumper on if the welds were to break. Do not weld the links together to make chain stiff.
7. Do not weld the unibody to the sub frame, if these are welded you will cut and will have to remove the front body mounts to prove they are just bolted together or you will not run.
8. NO Replica Bumpers allowed.
You only get 2 chances to pass inspection, If you get sent back to correct something on your car and it does not meet our standards when you come back to tech you will not run that night. If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t do it. Shows must start on time and we will not be playing the cat and mouse games anymore. Cars must have functioning brakes at all times. Any controversies or protests must be brought up during the drivers meeting. We have the right to reinspect, cut, or drill any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules, you will forfeit all winnings and or prizes you are due. No sandbagging, teaming, or holding. You cannot pin to win.
