2026 Junk It General Rules
1. These rules apply to every class. Read all rules carefully and follow them! Any questions call or text Nate Burgess 765-744-5524.
2. You must pass inspection within 2 times or you will not run.
3. A 12“ x 12“ roof sign is mandatory.
4. Vehicles must be stock, unless modifications are stated in the rules.
5. A helmet, seat belt, and eye protection must be worn at all times while on the track.
6. If the driver gets out of his or her car for any reason other than an emergency, that driver is considered out, and will not be allowed back in.
7. Any controversies or protests must be brought up during the driver's meeting.
8. All airbags, glass, plastic, bumper covers, rear speakers, wheel weights, and interior must be removed before arriving to the event.
9. Any aftermarket parts must be approved by Junk It. You must text and submit pictures for approval. Parts that are not preapproved before show will not be allowed.
10. No painting of the frames, inside of the car, underneath of the car, or inside of the trunk. If you do the car will not even be inspected. No refunds!!!!
11. Any patching or rust repair will only be allowed if preapproved in a text with pictures.
12. Official's decisions are final.
13. You have 1 minute to make an aggressive hit. After 1 minute that car is disqualified. Don't argue or ignore the officials to try to have more time. Once your time is up, the call goes over the radio to write you down as out, even if you still have a stick. Officials may reward more time to a person putting on a show and making big hits.
14. You are allowed 2 fires. The second time your vehicle catches fire will result in a disqualification.
15. No sandbagging, teaming, or holding. We will stop the show and break your stick

DO NOT READ ANYTHING INTO THESE RULES, JUST READ THE RULES!! If it doesn't say you can, YOU CAN'T!
BUILD
1. This class is for mini vans, compact suvs, and mini trucks. 6 cylinder or smaller, NO v8's, Nothing full size will be allowed to run in this class.
2. All factory body mount bolts must remain factory.
3.Hoods may be wired or chained in 8 spots. You may use ½” all thread at the core support all the way through the hood with a 3 inch 2” x 2” x ¼” spacer at the core support. You are permitted a 4” x 2” x ¼” piece of angle iron welded to the fender and hood to secure the hood on each side of the fender. You may use 5/16” chain or two strands of #9 wire per hole. It must be sheet metal to sheet metal only. No welding washers for holes is permitted. There must be a 12" hole in the hood in case of fire. You must remove the hood latch. Hoods must be open for inspection.
4. The doors must be chained or wired or welded in 8 places mandatory per door and no more than 2 double stains of wire per spot or three 5” straps per door seam. The wire from the bottom of the doors may go around the frame. You may use 5/6” chain or two strands of #9 wire per hole. Driver's front door only may be skinned or plated, but not to exceed more than 2” max past any factory door seam.
5. Front Windshield area must have wire or bar from roof to fire wall. No more than 3 inches back on the roof and the top of the fire wall. This is mandatory!!!!
6. No seam welding will be permitted on the body. Repairing sheet metal is limited to where the battery box and gas tank are and the driver’s area of the floorboards of the car. Must have approval with pictures.
7. You may leave the stock gas tank in the stock location if it is in front of the rear axle, or you may replace the gas tank with a metal boat tank or aftermarket fuel cell. No stock gas tanks inside of the vehicle are allowed. No plastic tanks are allowed.
8. You may weld the spider gears to make it posi. Must be stock gear, stock rearend for your make and model.
9. The trunks must be chained or wired in no more than 8 places. Two of these may go around the bumper and/or the frame. You are not required to have a deck lid and/or tailgate. No welding or adding metal is permitted. The trunk lid must be in the stock location. No tucking, wedging, pre bending, smashing, folding, or anything else you can think of is permitted. No welding washers for holes is permitted.
10. Must have a roof sign, it can not be used to tie the cage into the body or cage to window bar. It is to identify your car nothing more.
11. Radiator guards are allowed, nothing thicker then 1/8. You can either use 4-3/8 bolts or 6- 1 inch welds to mount guard. This guard can not be mounted to the front bumper, Guards can only be 3 inches wider then the factory core support opening.
CAGE
You can have a 4 point cage that must be no bigger than 6” x 6” x 1/4". The door bars can’t be any bigger than 60” long. You may have a rollover bar but it must run straight across and can only be welded to the top side of the rear seat bar. You are permitted a gas tank holder off the back bar that can be no wider than 24” and must be 6” away from all sheet metal. You are permitted a 6” gusset from the back bar to the gas tank holder no bigger than 2” x 2” x ¼”. No exceptions or you are not permitted to run! These may be no bigger than 2” x 2” and the mounting plate can be no bigger than 6” x 6” and must be mounted no farther than 6” behind the driver’s seat. You may also reinforce the driver’s door as you see fit for driver safety. This may be done from door seam to door seam only. For safety, all vehicles may have 1 windshield bar extending from the roof/halo bar of the car to the top side of the dash bar using 2”x2”. Nothing can go past the front edge of the dash bar. No firewall components can be welded to the dash bar
Suspension
1. Aftermarket steering column is allowed.
2. Tie rods must remain stock and factory. You may weld angle iron from end to end 1"x 1" x 1/4 (max) or have a sleeve.
3. You must have factory struts. No welding or adding strength to them.
4. You may use store bought knuckle busters or spring spacers to gain height in the front end. Bolt on strut spacers is allowed. Must bounce.
5. Stock type springs and shocks are permitted. No solid suspension. No wire, chains, or any welding on the rear ends or rear spring pockets. Cars must bounce and cars must be stock. You are permitted an aftermarket lower control arm but it must be from an auto parts store. No welded control arms are permitted. You must have a factory sway bar and it must be bolted on (No exceptions).
DRIVETRAIN
1. You must run factory drivetrain. You can convert fuel injection to carb. Must be 100% stock! No cross breeding of the entire drive. It must be the same make as the car (Ex: Chevy to Chevy, Ford to Ford, etc.) and must appear to be the factory engine to the car. Headers are permitted. The engine must be mounted with stock mounts in the stock position. You can put a solid mount at the factory location. They must be bolted only.
2. No homemade cross members are permitted. Cross members must be stock and bolted in, not welded.
3. Run any tire / rim combo you wish.
4. Aftermarket shifters, transmission coolers, gas pedals, and headers are allowed.
FRAMES
1. Absolutely no painting or spraying any material on frames or welds. Cars will not be inspected!
2. No shaping or hammering of the frame. You may notch or dimple the rear.
3. The front may be shortened to the front edge of the factory core support mount.
4. All trailer hitches and braces must be removed.
5. You cannot tilt the frame. If we think your frame has been tilted you will not run.
6. Shortening of the rear frame, body, and unibody is not allowed in any way.
7. No frame welding other than what is stated in the rules.
8. All fresh cars are permitted four 4”x4”x1/4” square fix it plates. All pre-ran cars are permitted six 4”x4”x1/4” square fix it plates. Once plates are put on, they may not be cut off and moved. There must be a 1” gap between the welds of these plates.
11. Do not seam weld unibody or sub frame, if hot spots are found you will not run.
Bumpers
1. Run any factory car bumper you wish, except for Chrysler pointy bumpers.
2. Homemade bumpers are allowed, but can only be 4 x 4 1/4 thick box tubing and must be flat. do not add any point to this.
3. No replica bumpers are allowed, You may use an aftermarket bolt together bumper and it can be seam welded but nothing thicker then 3/16. The 4-inch point that is for the bolt together bumpers is allowed.
4. You may cap the end of the frame with 6” x 6” x 1/4" plate to create a flat mounting surface. (No over lapping onto frame)
5. Bumpers may be narrowed, but no sharp ends allowed.
6. You must have two spots of 3/8 chain or 9 wire going from the bumper to the core support, this is to hold your bumper on if the welds were to break. Do not weld links together to make chain stiff.
7. Bumpers must be bolted and welded on in the factory location. You may collapse the shocks and weld all the way around the shock and to the mounting plate to the bumper and there must be a 1½” gap between the frame and the factory bumper shock plate. The shock must be bolted in the factory location. If the car did not come with bumper shocks, you cannot add them.
If the car has no shocks, the bumper may be welded directly to the frame with no metal added.
You only get 2 chances to pass inspection, If you get sent back to correct something on your car and it does not meet our standards when you come back to tech you will not run that night. If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t do it. Shows must start on time and we will not be playing the cat and mouse games anymore. Any controversies or protests must be brought up during the drivers meeting. We have the right to reinspect, cut, or drill any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules, you will forfeit all winnings and or prizes you are due. No sandbagging, teaming, or holding. You cannot pin to win.
