2026 Junk It General Rules

1. These rules apply to every class. Read all rules carefully and follow them! Any questions call or text Nate Burgess 765-744-5524.

2. You must pass inspection within 2 times or you will not run.

3. A 12“ x 12“ roof sign is mandatory.

4. Vehicles must be stock, unless modifications are stated in the rules.

5. A helmet, seat belt, and eye protection must be worn at all times while on the track.

6. If the driver gets out of his or her car for any reason other than an emergency, that driver is considered out, and will not be allowed back in.

7. Any controversies or protests must be brought up during the driver's meeting.

8. All airbags, glass, plastic, bumper covers, rear speakers, wheel weights, and interior must be removed before arriving to the event.

9. Any aftermarket parts must be approved by Junk It. You must text and submit pictures for approval. Parts that are not preapproved before show will not be allowed.

10. No painting of the frames, inside of the car, underneath of the car, or inside of the trunk. If you do the car will not even be inspected. No refunds!!!!

11. Any patching or rust repair will only be allowed if preapproved in a text with pictures.

12. Official's decisions are final.

13. You have 1 minute to make an aggressive hit. After 1 minute that car is disqualified. Don't argue or ignore the officials to try to have more time. Once your time is up, the call goes over the radio to write you down as out, even if you still have a stick. Officials may reward more time to a person putting on a show and making big hits.

14. You are allowed 2 fires. The second time your vehicle catches fire will result in a disqualification.

15. No sandbagging, teaming, or holding. We will stop the show and break your stick


FWD Gut and Go / Powder Puff/ & Youth Gut and Go 2026

DO NOT READ ANYTHING INTO THESE RULES, JUST READ THE RULES!! If it doesn't say you can, YOU CAN'T! BUILD

1. This class is for compact FWD cars 6 cylinder or smaller only

2. All factory body mount bolts must remain factory.

3. The hood can be held down in 6 places with 9 gauge wire 3 loops max, sheet metal to sheet metal only. Hoods must be open for inspection. Hoods must have a 12"x12" (Min.) hole cut in center.

4. Doors may be wired shut only (tail gates as well). 3 spots per vertical door seam and 2 spots on top of the doors. 3 loop max. You may use chain or seat belts instead or wire.

5. Front Windshield may stay but if you remove it the area must have wire or chain from roof to fire wall.

6. No welding on the body, no patching rust. You must send pictures and get approval before fixing anything.

7. You may leave the stock gas tank in the stock location if it is in front of the rear axle, or you may replace the gas tank with a metal boat tank or aftermarket fuel cell. No stock gas tanks inside of the vehicle are allowed.

8. You can crease the fenders, you may notch and pre bend. NO wedging NO Ramps.

9. You may remove trunk lid or 50 the trunk lid but it must stay on top of the rain rails.

10. Trunk lid may be held down in 6 places with 9 gauge wire 3 loop max (2 spots must go around bumper,) lid to fender only do not crisscross. You may weld 1 inch washers for the wire to run through.

11. If you do not run a trunk lid you may have 2 spots of wire from the speaker deck to rear bumper (2 spots double strands)


CAGE

1. You may have a 4 point floating cage, You may have a up and over bar but must be straight up and down.

2 Rear seat bar has to be within 8 inch from the back of the seat.

3 No down legs, No gas tank protector

4 You may weld 6"x6" plate on the door post for mounting the cage.

5. Cage material can be 6"x6" or smaller 6. All parts of the cage must be 4 inch off the floor 7. You may add a bar in the drivers door at an angle and wire it to the door post. Drivers door only.


SUSPENSION and STEERING

All suspension and steering must remain stock just like it came from factory.


DRIVETRAIN

1. You must run factory drivetrain. No modded computers or simplified harnesses. You cannot convert fuel injection to carb. You must use factory motor mounts. No protectors at all can be used

2. Must have Factory rims, You may have small weld in centers. No full centers No lip guards No valve steam protectors

3. DOT Radial tires only, you can have tubes. Do not double up tires, Grooving tires is allowed, do not make them into v treads.

4. You may run donut spares on the back, , You may have small weld in centers. No full centers, No lip guards, No valve steam protectors, No tow motor tires.

5. NO Aftermarket shifters, transmission coolers, gas pedals.

6. You can have headers, We would like to see home made style but they are allowed.


FRAMES

1. Absolutely no painting or spraying any material on frames or welds. Cars will not be inspected!

2. No shaping or hammering of the frame. You may notch or dimple the rear.

3. You may shorten the frame back to the core support.

4. All trailer hitches and braces must be removed.

5. You cannot tilt the frame. If we think your frame has been tilted, you will not run.

6. Shortening of the rear frame, body, and unibody is not allowed in any way.

7. No frame welding at all.


Bumpers

1. You must run a factory style FWD bumper

2. If your car came with a fiberglass front bumper you may change it out for a sheet metal one.

3. Late 90's and newer crown vic bumpers are allowed

4. Rear bumper can not be change no matter what, you may remove it

5. Bumpers may be welded on 3 sides only. Both sides and top do not weld the bottom or front. No adding metal when welding bumper on.

6. 2 spots of 9 wire 2 loops max must go from the core support to the bumper. We don't want bumpers falling off.

7. No welding on the front of the bumpers.


This year the Youth gut and go is going to allow passengers, this is not for the adult to be driving but to be coaching the kid running. Its ok for you to help them in a pinch but let them do that work.



You only get 2 chances to pass inspection, If you get sent back to correct something on your car and it does not meet our standards when you come back to tech you will not run that night. If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t do it. Shows must start on time and we will not be playing the cat and mouse games anymore. Any controversies or protests must be brought up during the drivers meeting. We have the right to reinspect, cut, or drill any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules, you will forfeit all winnings and or prizes you are due. No sandbagging, teaming, or holding. You cannot pin to win. Any of these will result in a disqualification. Any questions, CALL FIRST. Don’t assume anything. The Official's decision is final
